Technology Design Studio: Software

A guide to the "digital hub" of the Atlanta University Center - Robert W. Woodruff Library - the Technology Design Studio.

The Technology Design Studio

Technology Design Studio

The Technology Design Studio (TDS) is an area on the main level of the AUC Woodruff Library with iMac computers, multimedia software, and other audio/visual equipment. It's the place to go to edit photographs, make movies, create audio recordings, and get answers to your technology questions.

The main feature of TDS is the staff assistance you can receive on any technology topic. The TDS desk is staffed with experts in photography, graphic design, video production, and audio engineering. You also have access to the complete Adobe Creative Cloud suite of apps on 12 iMac computers. Select computers have additional multimedia software, notably Apple's video editing program Final Cut Pro X and music production program Logic X Pro.

We also have four multimedia rooms, the TDS Suites (some students call them the Studios), where you can record audio, edit video, or practice presentations in small groups.

Getting Started with A/V Production

The Adobe Creative Cloud provides over a dozen software applications for multimedia production. Check out these guides from Adobe on their most popular apps:
