Who can contribute to DigitalCommons?

DigitalCommons will accept material from any faculty member or group that contributes to the scholarly output of the AUC's member institutions (Clark Atlanta University, Interdenominational Theological Center, Morehouse College, Robert W. Woodruff Library, and Spelman College).  Therefore, any college, department, center, institute, etc. is eligible to participate.  Each entity has its own community in the repository.

DigitalCommons also includes historical and archival material from the Archives Research Center.

Why contribute to DigitalCommons?

DigitalCommons@AUC Robert W. Woodruff Library makes the scholarship of the AUC's member institutions easily available in one location online, enabling increased access to colleagues, students, and the academic community.  Scholarly work deposited in DigitalCommons is more easily discovered in common internet search engines, making it easier for researchers around the world to discover your work. All digital objects in DigitalCommons have a permanent URL that make accessing them easier for all users.

What kind of materials can be placed in DigitalCommons?

 A wide range of digital material can be placed in DigitalCommons, including but not limited to text, video, image, and audio files. Possible materials for inclusion include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Articles and preprints

• Technical reports

• Working papers

• Conference papers/presentations

• Dissertations/theses/practicums/capstone projects

• Out of copyright books in digital format

• Images/Artwork

• Audio files

• Video files
