Getting Help

Subject Liaisons

These are librarians who provide instruction and have responsibility for developing collections to support the education and research needs of academic departments/programs offered by our member institutions. Our subject liaisons offer instruction in the use of electronic and print resources and guidance for research projects within their specific disciplines. For assistance or to schedule a reference consultation, contact the subject liaison for your discipline.


Technology

Software:
MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Internet Explorer. Versions 2003 and 2007.
Operating System: Windows XP
Note: A flash drive/memory stick/jump drive is required for saving documents in the Library

Other technologies available in the library:

  • Fax machines
  • Macintosh computers with video and audio editing capabilities in the Technology Design Studio Area
  • Collaborative software and plasma screens in various group meeting rooms

Printing
Available for 10 cents a page for black and white and 50 cents a page for color. In order to print, you must have a print card, which can be purchased for one dollar.


Ask A Librarian:

  • In Person: Visit the Research Consultation Center (RCC). During the 2021 spring semester, the Library will use TEAMS to provide assistance to users. RCC librarians can offer instruction in the use of electronic and print resources and guidance for research projects during staffed hours: Monday through Thursday 9 am – 10 pm, Friday 10 am – 6 pm, and Sunday noon to 8 pm.

  •  E-Mail: E-mail a librarian at AskRef@auctr.edu with your research questions. A reference librarian will respond within 24 hours (weekends and holidays 48 hours).
