Faculty Services: Interlibrary Use (ARCHE) Cards

ARCHE Cards

The Woodruff Library is a member of the Atlanta Regional Consortium for Higher Education (ARCHE) , consisting of 19 public and private colleges, universities, and other institutions of higher learning, as well as five affiliated independent libraries and 12 corporate and non-profit community partners.

As a member of ARCHE, Atlanta University Center students and faculty have access to the library materials of all ARCHE member institutions. Persons who are granted an ARCHE card are subject to the rules and policies of the specific library for which the card is obtained.

  • Faculty privileges are free.
  • Students must pay a $50 deposit (Money order only). The deposit is refundable if no fines are incurred. Allow two weeks for mailing.

Applications for ARCHE cards may be obtained in the Research Consultation Center. Students and faculty are strongly encouraged to consult with the librarian responsible for developing resources in the specified subject field. According to the ARCHE agreement, an interlibrary use card can only be issued when the home library lacks sufficient resources in the designated research area.
