Open Access Publishing Opportunites

The AUC Woodruff Library has established an Open Access Supporter Membership with BioMed Central and Springer Open. As a result of this membership, all faculty and researchers from our member institutions are entitled to a 15% discount on the article-processing charge for papers accepted for publication in one of the BioMed Central or SpringerOpen journals (see journal title lists below). BioMed Central and SpringerOpen will automatically transfer copies of articles published by AUC authors into our e-Scholarship Repository (RADAR). Please contact Rosaline Odom (rodom@auctr.edu) for more information about this new program.

Welcome to the Robert W. Woodruff Library!

The Robert W. Woodruff Library is committed to providing exceptional support to the faculty who teach and conduct research in the Atlanta University Center (AUC).  Our goal is to provide access to the most relevant current and retrospective information in print and electronic formats.  A subject librarian has been assigned to each degree program offered by our member institutions.  Subject librarians are available to provide a variety of information services to support faculty teaching and research activities.  Services provided include:

  • Research assistance to individual faculty or students, and small-group clusters at the Research Consultation Center (RCC).
  • Formal/informal group instruction by appointment (library or campus)
  • Users may also request virtual reference assistance by emailing AskRef@auctr.edu or sending an instant message to AskWoodruff (AIM, Google, Yahoo, MSM).

WELCOME FACULTY!
