IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

During the Library's closure in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no on-site and no remote access to the Bloomberg Terminals. In case you need to obtain some data that would generally be found in the Terminal, here is a list of alternative resources.

  • Business Insights: Global - Provides company and industry profiles, including SWOT reports, market share reports, financial reports, business news.
  • Business Source Complete - Browse here for company profiles, country reports, industry profiles, market research reports, SWOT analyses.
  • Dun & Bradstreet Key Business Ratios - Examine industry benchmarks of public and private companies. Find industry quick ratios; current ratios; current liabilities/net worth (%); current liabilities/inventory (%); total liabilities/net worth (%); fixed assets/net worth (%). Look up solvency, efficiency, and profitability ratios by industry.
  • Mergent Online - Search for government filings (i.e. 10Ks, 10Qs, 8Ks, etc.); ratings of active and inactive bonds; industry reports; company financials; equity pricing; competitor data; company filings (with link to EDGAR)
  • Standard & Poors NetAdvantage - Company credit ratings; key ratios; company balance sheets; fixed income summaries; income statements; cash flows; quick comparison analysis between competitive/peer companies

Location and Access at the Robert W. Woodruff Library

Bloomberg Terminals are currently located in the FINANCIAL APPLICATIONS LEARNING LAB (room 207) and can only be used in the library for non-commercial research. 

Online tutorials in Bloomberg use streaming video and audio. Library does not loan out or issue earphones, earbuds, or headphones. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN SET OF THESE DEVICES.

Bloomberg Lab Information

AUC students in the Business/Finance/Economics programs may request help with Bloomberg. Faculty may also coordinate with the Bloomberg Librarian to set up class sessions in the Bloomberg Lab. But before using Bloomberg Lab, make sure to download, read, and understand the policies and procedures.
