Technology for Library Staff: A/V Hardware

An internal guide to the technology that RWWL staff use.

Canon Camera

Canon Rebel T7i DSLR camera

The Canon Rebel T7i is a Digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera. It is available to staff for photographing events, documenting collections, and other purposes. It can take high-resolution photographs and high-definition video. In video mode, it will limit clips to 30 minutes long, so it is not ideal for filming for long periods (use the Mevo camera for that).

Mevo Camera for Livestreaming

undefined

The Mevo camera can be used to capture video offline or livestream it to various websites, including YouTube. This camera requires a lot of preparation to set up for livestreaming, so keep that in mind. Request it early and test it to ensure that you know how to operate it before you start livestreaming. Any livestreaming must also be approved by Library administration in advance, as well.

Zoom Audio Recorder

Zoom audio recorder

The Zoom H4n audio recorder can obtain clear recordings through its built-in stereo microphones or through external microphones plugged into the recorder.
