Browsing Digital Materials

By clicking on the Digital Materials tab on the browsing bar, a screen with all digital materials currently available through the Archives Research Center will open. From the results page, researchers can access digital materials. They can sort and filter results.

Digital Material Record

The digital material record provides researchers with information about the item. Most records will include:

  • Item Title: title given to the item
  • Identifier: a unique identifier used to easily identify items and for requesting reproductions and permissions
  • Date: the date of the item
  • Language: language of the item
  • Linked records: information on where the item came from, such as the collection, series, and folder it can be found in
  • And a link to the website with the digital material and more information about the item

How to Find Digital Materials

File Record

Digital materials can also be found in the file records of finding aids. If the record is linked to digital materials, a red box like the ones seen in digital materials records will be shown. From the file record, researchers can either click on the box and go to the website for the digital material or click on Digital Material in the Expand All section of the record. This section will list all digital material linked to the file record and allows researchers to click and go to the digital material records for each item.

RADAR

Digital materials found on the Archives Research Center finding aids website are linked to items in RADAR (Repository for the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library). RADAR is the institutional repository for the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library, including research and scholarly output, archival collections, and theses and dissertations.  Materials included in RADAR have been selected and deposited by the students and faculty of the member schools, Clark Atlanta University, the Interdenominational Theological Center, Morehouse College, and Spelman College, and the librarians of the Robert W. Woodruff Library. Visit the link below to access all collections held in RADAR.
