JOB Title: Human Resources Information Systems/Payroll Coordinator

The Library serves nearly 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students and has a collection of 1 million items in various formats including a special collections and archives department rich in African American materials. The Library is a member of ARCHE, LYRASIS, OCLC, HBCU Library Alliance, and a participant of the Georgia’s Virtual Library, GALILEO.
SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision from the Human Resources Director, the HRIS\Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for the oversight of the HRIS system and for performing all aspects of the Library’s payroll process function.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of the HRIS system
- Timely and accurate reporting and process of HRIS records to include uploads, downloads and reports
- Prepare and maintain various departmental reports to include ad hoc reports
- Retrieve and preparing internal reports for Finance and HR to include General Ledger, Head Count, turn-over and salary data
- Reconcile biweekly employee retirement payroll deductions with TIAA-CREF monthly contribution report and report any discrepancies to HR Director.
- Administer processes surrounding HRIS functions to ensure smooth operation of policies such as salary and performance appraisal process
- Provide training and technical support to staff on the HR systems to include employee portal, performance management and time management systems.
- Work closely with HR Specialist to ensure flow and accuracy of HR data
- Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation and sick benefits, insurance and 403 (b) deductions
- Maintain employee payroll files in accordance with compliance requirements
- Assist in the monitoring of the TIAA-CREF employee contributions to ensure that no employee is contribution above the IRS’ maximum allowable annual amount
- Working with the Human Resources Director will review/select tools and resources for obtaining data and other relevant information to establish HR metrics.
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Download timesheets from Time Management system
- Reconcile, research and resolve payroll discrepancies to include timesheets, payroll taxes, employee deductions etc.
- Assist in compiling and analyzing survey data (i.e. employee and salary survey)
- Will perform other HR related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Educational/Training Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or related field with emphasis in Human Resources preferred and/or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of MS Office software suite
- Knowledge of ADP payroll and performance management or related software platforms

Experience:
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now, Kronos, Ultipro or similar HRIS system
- Minimum 3 years’ payroll processing and HRIS experience
- Minimum 2 years’ customer service experience

- Ability to manipulate files for importing and exporting in various formats and developing reports required to meet management and compliance needs
