Framework for Information Literacy

Information Literacy Framework

Woodruff Library bases its understanding of information literacy upon the Association of College & Research Library (ACRL) Framework for Information Literacy.

There are six interconnected "frames" that comprise Information Literacy. Students learn about these concepts simultaneous and with growing complexity throughout their academic career. They show their understanding of these concepts by demonstrating  "knowledge practices" and "dispositions." For more information about the framework, please visit the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education.
