Our Commitment

The Atlanta University Center (AUC) Robert W. Woodruff Library is committed to providing exceptional virtual support to all faculty and students enrolled at AUC institutions throughout the fall semester. Our goal is to provide you with access to the most relevant current and retrospective information in the existing virtual environment.

Virtual Orientation for Graduate Students

Did You Know You Still Can...
  • Schedule virtual research consultation appointments to get help with your teaching and/or research
  • Use the Library’s electronic Course Reserve system to put required reading materials on reserve for your classes
  • Use the Library’s Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Management System to request electronically accessible items not owned by the Library
  • Access electronic collections and databases
  • Request e-document delivery
  • Request assistance with learning how to use instructional technologies (e.g. podcasting, blogs, etc.)

Virtual Support for Your Learning and Research

A subject librarian has been assigned to provide virtual instructional and information support services for each degree program offered by our member institutions. Subject librarians and archivists are available to support your study and research by providing:

  • Designated virtual office hours (make an appointment to get help from your subject librarian or archivist)
  • Request to get help with citation styles from your subject librarian
  • Research Guides are electronic pathfinders to assist library users in locating appropriate information resources. A research guide has been developed for each degree program offered by AUC member institutions
  • Request virtual reference or research support for individuals or small group clusters using the following online platforms:

Fall Semester Hours of Virtual Information Services Delivery

  • Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Sunday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Access to Print Library Materials

A Library barcode is required to check out materials from the Library’s collection. To obtain a Library barcode please email or call (404) 978-2097. Valid campus ID credentials are required for registration. After a barcode has been issued, the next step is to establish your online Library account here. Input your barcode and click on the SET/RESET PASSWORD button. You will be emailed a link to establish your password.

Parking Lot Pick Up Service

During the fall semester (August 19 – November 20) AUC graduate students may request up to 10 books for pick up in the Library’s parking lot, located at the rear of the building. Parking Lot Pick Up is by appointment only. Services are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of  11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. More detailed instructions are included in the document displayed below.

Note: You will be required to wear a mask and present a valid campus ID card during your pick up appointment.

Requests may be submitted by placing a Hold on the material(s) needed in the Library’s catalog. Once the materials are available, you will be notified via email. Once you have been notified, please click on this link to schedule an appointment for pick up. Scan and e-Deliver Service

AUC Library users may request a limited number of pages from a designated book (full book chapter or less). Scanned pages will be emailed to your campus email account. Requesters should use the fillable form displayed below to submit requests. Completed forms should be saved and labelled with the requester’s last name and emailed to The Library’s Scan and e-Deliver Service is available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
