Our Commitment

The Atlanta University Center (AUC) Robert W. Woodruff Library is committed to providing exceptional virtual support to all faculty and students enrolled at AUC institutions throughout the 2023 Fall Semester (August 16 - December 8). Our goal is to provide you with access to the most relevant current and retrospective information in person and in the virtual environment, where applicable. Virtual Orientation for Graduate Students

Did You Know You Can...
  • Schedule onsite and virtual research consultation appointments to get help with your teaching and/or research
  • Use the Library’s electronic Course Reserve system to put required reading materials on reserve for your classes
  • Use the Library’s Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Management System to request electronically accessible items not owned by the Library
  • Access electronic collections and databases
  • Request e-document delivery
  • Request assistance with learning how to use instructional technologies (e.g. podcasting, blogs, etc.)

Information Services Support for Your Learning and Research

A subject librarian has been assigned to provide onsite or virtual instructional and information support services for each degree program offered by our member institutions. Subject librarians and archivists are available to support your study and research by providing:

  • Designated virtual office hours (make an appointment to get help from your subject librarian or archivist)
  • Request to get help with citation styles from your subject librarian
  • Research Guides are electronic pathfinders to assist library users in locating appropriate information resources. A research guide has been developed for each degree program offered by AUC member institutions
  • Request onsite or virtual reference or research support for individuals or small group clusters using the following online platforms:

Fall Semester Hours of Information Services Delivery

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM - 12:00 MIDNIGHT
  • Friday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Sunday: 12:00 PM - 12:00 MIDNIGHT

Access to Print Library Materials

All Library users must obtain a Library barcode in order to exercise borrowing privileges. Please email barcodes@auctr.edu to obtain a Library barcode. Your campus ID credentials are required for registration: Full Name, Address, Valid campus email address, Phone number and Valid Student ID number. After a barcode has been issued, the next step is to establish your online Library account here. Input your barcode and click on the SET/RESET PASSWORD button. You will be emailed a link to establish your password.
