The Digitization Hub within the Digital Services Department at the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library is pleased to offer a variety of services to meet the needs and capacity of contributing HBCUs.
- Digitization services- participants transfer collections to the Hub located in Atlanta. Project staff have the capability to digitize a variety of formats including photographs, negatives, bound materials, oversized items, and audio and video recordings
- Metadata creation- project staff collaborate with participants to create descriptive metadata to enhance and expand online discovery
- Platform hosting and management - project staff upload content to the project's institutional repository (CONTENTdm) for online access.
- Digital Preservation- the AUC Woodruff Library provides technical support and coordinates the ingest of preservation images into the Alabama Digital Preservation Network (ADPNet) for long-term preservation.
