All Library users must obtain a Library barcode in order to exercise borrowing privileges. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Library’s Circulation Services Desk at (404) 978-2097 to obtain a Library barcode. Your campus ID credentials are required for registration. After a barcode has been issued, the next step is to establish your online Library account here. Input your barcode and click on the SET/RESET PASSWORD button. You will be emailed a link to establish your password.
Library materials may be renewed twice if a "hold" has not been placed on the item.Items must be renewed on or before the due date. Materials cannot be renewed if they have been placed on hold by another patron, if the borrower has a delinquent Interlibrary Loan item(s), or any other outstanding fees due to the Library. As a courtesy, overdue notices are sent to borrowers after the loan period has expired. Users are responsible for all fines and fees whether or not a notice is received. Materials that have a "Hold" placed on them or have been renewed twice online must be returned to the Library by using the book return bin located on the front steps of the building.
Physical course reserves are suspended for the fall semester. Faculty are asked to please use the Library’s electronic course reserves option. Under this option, the Library will search its collection for a digital version (e-book, book chapter, journal article, streaming video, etc.) of the requested course reserve materials and provide you links to digital versions of the materials which can be embedded in your course site.
Unfortunately, not all requested course materials will have a digital version available at the Library. In these cases, the Library will do a fair use assessment to determine if a portion of your requested course materials can be made available through digitization. The Library is generally willing to scan a single chapter from a book or a single article from a journal issue as a presumptively fair use. Please contact your Subject Librarian to make arrangements or for additional assistance.
Students may access items placed on course reserves by logging in to their Library account and clicking on the Course Reserves link.
During the fall semester (August 19 – November 20) AUC faculty, graduate students, and student lab workers may request books for pick up in the Library’s parking lot, located at the rear of the building.
Click here for instructions on how to use the Parking Lot Pickup Service.
Note: All borrowers will be required to wear a mask and present a valid campus ID card during his/her pick up appointment.
Requests may be submitted by placing a hold on the material(s) needed in the Library’s catalog. A maximum of ten (10) items may be requested. Once the materials are available, you will be notified via email. The student should then call (404) 978-2097 to schedule an appointment for pick up. Students needing additional assistance should contact the Circulation Services Desk at email@example.com or call (404) 978-2097.
To return borrowed materials simply drop them into the book return bin located on the front steps of the Library.
During the fall semester, AUC Library users may request a limited number of pages from a designated book (full book chapter or less). Scanned pages will be emailed to your campus email account. Requests should be entered into the form displayed below. Completed forms should be labelled with the requester's last name, saved and emailed firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also send the form to your Subject Librarian. Subject librarians will forward all requests received to Circulation Services for processing. The Library's Scan & E-Deliver Service will operate on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
