AUC Faculty Virtual Services: Virtual Services

The Atlanta University Center (AUC) Robert W. Woodruff Library is committed to providing exceptional virtual support to all faculty and students enrolled at AUC institutions. Our goal is to provide you with access to the most relevant current and retrospective information both in person and in the virtual environment, where applicable. Information Services Support for Your Teaching and Research

A subject librarian has been assigned to provide information support services for each degree program offered by our member institutions. Subject librarians are available to support your study and research by providing:

  • Request formal and informal onsite or virtual instruction on how to use information resources for individuals or small group clusters via online instructional platforms here.
  • Request formal and informal individual or group instruction for archival and primary resources (make an appointment to invite an archivist to partner with you on your course). Make a request here.
  • Formal and informal individual or group instruction (make an appointment to invite your subject librarian and/or archivist to partner with you on your course)
  • Designated virtual office hours (make an appointment with your subject librarian in your course management system)
  • Request citation verifications from your subject librarian
  • Research Guides are electronic pathfinders to assist library users in locating appropriate information resources. A research guide has been developed for each degree program offered by AUC member institutions
  • Request virtual reference or research support for individuals or small group clusters using the following online platforms:

Regular Semester Hours of  Information Services Delivery

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM - 12:00 MIDNIGHT
  • Friday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday:  12:00 PM - 6:00 PM 
  • Sunday: 12:00 PM - 12:00 MIDNIGHT

Access to Print Library Materials

All Library users must obtain a Library barcode in order to exercise borrowing privileges. Please email barcodes@auctr.edu to obtain a Library barcode. Your campus ID credentials are required for registration: Full Name, Address, Valid campus email address, Phone number and Valid Student ID number. After a barcode has been issued, the next step is to establish your online Library account here. Input your barcode and click on the SET/RESET PASSWORD button. You will be emailed a link to establish your password.
